Those awarded with the Day of Donating Kids 2020 Schools are:

Category:
More Transforming Campaign

1st place:
Colégio Professor Possidônio Salles,
São José dos Campos, SP.
Project name: Donate Kids Day

2nd Place:

Colégio Educar Guarulhos,
Guarulhos, SP.
Project name: Love in Motion

Our goals with the project, developed in the Citizenship class, were to make students aware of their rights and duties, providing them with knowledge so that they can be critical and active individuals for a more just and egalitarian society; to encourage action and requests to the government; and to provide spaces for speech and empowerment in basic education. And they were achieved because we managed to approve a bill written by students and teachers of basic education for the transformation of a municipality, bringing safety to traffic. We deserve this achievement for all our projects developed throughout the year. This award is to further encourage the effort of the team and students and to show that YES, our fight for a more just society is worth it.

2º Colocada:
Camino School - São Paulo/SP
Projeto: Manual Para Escolas Antirracistas

The purpose of creating the Manual is to invite the school community to rethink attitudes and deconstruct entrenched views about Brazilian society, knowing that the impacts of this change will benefit the Brazilian population as a whole, since racism and discrimination negatively impact not only those who suffer directly from the actions, but also those who practice them. After creating the Manual, a team of educators met daily to think about training actions for the teaching staff, enabling the implementation of law 11.645 to support management in decision-making about situations of racism. Since the project is not restricted to the school, the impacts are felt by all people who download the material from the school's website, read it and put the proposed actions into practice. More than 5,000 people have already downloaded the document, in addition to those who have shared it.

3rd Place:
Ferreira Master College - Suzano/SP
Project: Master Volunteers Project

The Project is an initiative of the Entrepreneurship discipline in partnership with other disciplines in the High School context, and students were invited to think outside their "bubbles", identifying the demands of the territory in which the School is located. The objective was to develop and raise awareness among students to build proposals involving solidarity actions to awaken generosity, broaden the division over the territory, value the exchange of knowledge, humanization and strengthening of bonds beyond the school walls, through planning, action plan, monitoring and evaluation of all stages of the larger project. Donations of financial, human and material resources were mobilized. We deserved to win because of the strength demonstrated by the students, who understood the proposal and the need to share hope, kindness, be supportive and generous, because when you give, you receive in addition!

"It was a great pleasure to see so many schools involved in the topic and bringing practical actions to everyday life. There is an inestimable value in these projects to train critical and responsible individuals, since children and young people are part of society and agents of change. It is important to multiply these projects, learn about projects from other schools, get inspired and continue. School is a living space: children learn from the environment they frequent and repeat the actions in their daily lives. It is a huge opportunity to bring this collective learning built from everyone's perspective to school, an exercise in what it is like to actively participate in the community that helps build a better society. The future of Education certainly involves 7PEGG, principles fully aligned with the trend of maker education, in which we place the student in the role of being a creator and a collaborator all the time."

"I really enjoyed participating in the EGG Award as a judge. The projects presented show that traditional themes of solidarity (such as food donations, visits to nursing homes) are still “in fashion”, but new themes such as combating bullying and issues related to climate change and students' mental health are also emerging on the agenda.
As an enthusiast of the culture of donation and solidarity, I think that the EGG award is one of the most interesting initiatives that exist in Brazil for children and teenagers

"I felt excited and compassionate when participating in the award evaluations. It is very rewarding to see and recognize so many great initiatives from the most diverse school communities. The possibility of building a real project that has an impact on its community is an invitation to develop social skills in students, families, educators and the community that go beyond the project itself. Congratulations to the participants for enabling learning by building a space for experience, affection, exchange and autonomy.
A critical, conscious and complete citizen needs to look at himself and others in a sensitive and intelligible way and the 7PEGG cutout provides a clear path.
